3 & 4year old funding
All 3 and 4year olds are entitled to up to 15hours free government funding. All parents/carers can also apply for additional 15hours if you meet certain criteria. It is the parents/carers responsibility to apply for the funding. This needs to be done before the qualifying funded term starts.

If your child turns 3 between 1st September and 31st December 2023 then you can apply now for funding to ensure you receive funded hours from January 2024.
If you miss the deadline an apply on or after the 31st December then your code will not be eligible to use until the Summer term, you will then have to wait until April 2024 for code to work.

2year old funding
Some 2year olds are eligible for funding up to 15hours in the term after their 2nd birthday.

New funding 2024/2025
From April 2024 2year olds will get 15hours free childcare for eligible working parents
From September 2024 the 15 hours free childcare will be available from the age of nine months
From September 2025 30hours free childcare will be available from nine months until the start of school
